Darcy Merriweather is Enchanted Village’s newest resident Wishcrafter—a witch who can grant wishes for others. But as Darcy prepares a celebration for a magical florist, she discovers that every rose has its thorns…

When magical florist Harriette Harkette decides to throw a lavish eightieth birthday party for herself, she hires Darcy’s Aunt Ve’s personal concierge service, As You Wish, to plan the soiree. But turning eighty isn’t all Harriette is celebrating—the Floracrafter has recently created the midnight black Witching Hour rose, the first all-natural rose of that color.

Darcy works hard on planning an extravagant celebration that will make Harriette feel like the belle of the ball. But when cake delivery boy Michael Healey—a former employee at Harriette’s greenhouse—is found dead, the celebration takes a turn. Now Michael’s ghost has imprinted on Darcy, meaning that they’re bonded until she can untangle the thicket surrounding his murder—and what exactly it has to do with the Witching Hour rose...

I had the privilege to be able to read it before it came out and I think it's her best book yet! You feel like you know the characters, the humor laced in is wonderful, and every time I thought I'd figured out "who done it" I found myself being wrong.I just loved it

The series continues. There are some revelations and character development which is always a good thing. You will learn who is the voice that Darcy keeps overhearing speaking with Ve. Definitely recommended for fans of the series. This definitely a series which you will want to read in sequence.

I loved the previous books in the series, but this one is even better! The heartwarming moments brought a tear to my eye and there are some seriously funny sections. I loved the flow of the dialogue and I never solved the whodunit correctly, which is quite satisfying. This is definitely a must-read series!

With this book I felt sorry for Darcy as she was stuck with a ghost that wanted her to solve his murder so that someone will know about what was really going on. Much like Heather’s other two books this one was such a good one that I couldn’t put it down for a while and when it was done I felt a little bit good but also sad. The reason for that is because I didn’t want it to end but then I remembered that she had another book out that I could read. I love these books though I am wondering with when Darcy will ever figure out that her dog is a familiar and that her Aunt Ve knew about it. The other mystery that I am still curious about is who the Elder is. Since that is like a big one and it’s always something that I always want to figure out in every book I read of the Wishcrafter series. I give this book five stars and I love it. A great addition to the Wishcraft series. Heather Blake weaves a fun tale with good, quirky characters. You can't go wrong with any of the books by Heather Blake/Webber.

I am so hooked on this series. Possibilities are endless, there are people who are crafters and some not, animals that are familiars some not, that alone keeps you guessing and keeps it fun. Darcy the main character is a strong, funny and totally likeable character. All the characters seem to have a life story that makes them more than one dimensional, just when you hate them you find something likeable. The mystery was great, I loved the idea of a ghost trying to help. The plot kept me guessing until the end, ok I guessed wrong. The setting is a place that I would love to visit, and I can't wait to revisit it all in the next book.

I missed this when it was released somehow, but it did not disappoint!  Heather Blake kicked it up a notch with this installment of the Wishcraft series. Harriette Harkette is no wallflower...pun intended, as she is a FloraCrafter.  Not only is she throwing herself an 80th birthday party (planned by the Merriweathers and As You Wish), she's developed the first and only truly black rose which obviously has the flower world in a tizzy. The birthday cake is late, so Darcy goes to check to see if it's arrived, and instead finds the body of the delivery driver (who just happened to have worked for Harriette) Michael.  Yes, Darcy has stumbled on another murder...only this time Michael's spirit has imprinted on her and will be with her until she figures out what happened to him. Family rivalry, the growing relationship between Darcy and Nick (with a few pricks from a thorn) and the usual characters (I love Archie and Pepe!!) make this a great story from start to finish.  There are a few little surprises along the way as well ;-)

For lovers of witchcraft mysteries. Excellent addition to the Wishcraft Series, which is an interesting concept of a branch of witchcraft. Black roses, another murder, a little romance, helpful familiars, a surprising reveal, and Darcy's up to her neck in all of it.

I always look forward to reading this series!  Heather has such a talent!  I don't know how she comes up with all of these names for crafters but they better keep on coming my way!
