12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
12:22 Toe sê Hy vir sy dissipels: Daarom sê Ek vir julle: Moenie julle kwel oor julle lewe, wat julle sal eet nie, of oor julle liggaam, wat julle sal aantrek nie.
12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
12:23 Die lewe is meer as die voedsel en die liggaam as die klere.
12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
12:24 Let op die kraaie, want hulle saai nie en hulle maai nie; hulle het geen voorraadkamer of skuur nie, en tog voed God hulle. Hoeveel te meer is julle nie werd as die voëls nie!
12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
12:25 En wie van julle kan, deur hom te bekommer, een el by sy lengte vermeerder?
12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
12:26 As julle dan nie in staat is om die minste te doen nie, waarom kwel julle julle oor die ander?
12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
12:27 Kyk na die lelies, hoe hulle groei: hulle swoeg nie, hulle spin nie; en Ek sê vir julle dat Salomo in al sy heerlikheid nie bekleed was soos een van hulle nie.
12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
12:28 As God dan die gras wat vandag op die veld is en môre in 'n oond gegooi word, so beklee, hoeveel te meer sal Hy julle beklee, kleingelowiges!
12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
12:29 En soek nie wat julle sal eet of wat julle sal drink nie, en moenie twyfel nie.
12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
12:30 Want al hierdie dinge soek die nasies van die wêreld, en julle Vader weet dat julle hierdie dinge nodig het.
