Diya F. Shakoor was born in raised in Landover, Maryland and currently resides in Richmond, Virginia. He is a retired US Army Warrant Officer with multiple combat tours overseas. He has been a lifelong writer of songs, poetry and stories. He challenged himself by entering the realm of writing fiction novels, with this being his first.
Diya is the eldest of nine kids, seven boys and two girls. He is also the proud father of two children boys.
