It was a special place where people from different tribes speaking different languages came together to help their loved ones feel better. The Healing Lodge taught them about being kind, understanding, and taking care of one another. About the Author

Barbara L. Clouse is a retired federal paralegal, lives on a farm in Muskogee, Oklahoma, with her husband Jerry. When not helping with the gardening, she enjoys teaching art, sewing, genealogy, and research of her Cherokee heritage. She has been a Sunday school teacher for many years, working with children of all ages. Hosting family gatherings and helping with projects for their grandchildren keeps the Clouse country home busy and blessed.

Gabby Correia is from Cape Town, South Africa and she can't go a day without chocolate, peanut butter, and coffee.Gabby uses her drive and creative imagination to bring written stories to life so that she can help authors elevate their words to their highest potential to inspire, enrich, and bring joy to children all over the world.For the last 10 years or more Gabby has been working as a freelance digital artist and illustrator, getting her hands dirty in illustration for advertising as well as book cover art, children's book illustration, caricature, and portraits. In 2018 Gabby found her passion for illustrating children's books and has made it her full time mission to bring the client's visions to life. She works with publishers as well as self-published authors.
