An evidence based, safe approach to herbalism is hard to find, but Amy has hit the mark. You can tell that she's had her training, and safety and efficacy are paramount. From growing to preserving to using with children, adults, and livestock, everything is covered. I have a batch of marshmallow hot chocolate steeping on the stove right now, and my two and six year olds get over colds in record time with her elderberry syrup, which my two year old runs to the kitchen for and proclaims "ummy!" This is exactly the book every mom frustrated with the limitations of modern medicine needs. When the cold medicine aisle offers you nothing for your young child, herbalism offers you time-tested and scientifically-proven remedies that are safe, effective, and palatable.
A wonderful source for herbal information. Thoroughly researched, beautifully photographed, and full of great information in an easy to understand format. This book should be a part of everyone's library!
