About the Author

Steven Holmes was born and raised in White Rock, BC, Canada and now calls Burnaby home. He has a 7-year-old daughter named Cadence who lives with him every other week. If he is not at the gym, cooking or with her, he's writing. He started off writing short stories as a child then songs as a teenager, poems as a young adult and now back to stories. His first book The Inani-Mates has been almost 2 years in the making. Being a part time single dad has made this project even more challenging but also more rewarding. His best friend Gordon Bruce is the illustrator, which has made the process even more enjoyable.
