About the Author

Like the title of this book, Adam Rogers is himself an intrepid traveler. His journeys have taken him to more than 100 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. He set of on his first expedition in his early teens, exploring the west coast of North America from Alaska to Mexico on a motorcycle. At the age of eighteen he left his home in the Yukon Territory with a backpack and an intention to explore the world—to keep traveling east until he ended up back in the west. This first exploration of the planet brought him to more than fifty countries over five years on a budget of less than $100 a month. That experience formed the basis for the first two editions of The Intrepid Traveler.
