Overview

Most of us are working hard to leave a legacy in regards to generational wealth, real estate, or community impact but what if you could leave a written legacy?

This book will allow families to start family libraries full of the truth even if it hurts. My hope is to see people from all over the world with catalogs of journals, books, and even videos of stories from family members that will outlive us all. For once, there will be the possibility of leaving behind words that can help generations to have revelations about their bloodline and about themselves.

About the Author

Deatrice is a business owner, community leader, and family life coach. Through her marketing firm, she serves socially responsible private companies, non-profits, and community groups. In addition to running her own business, Deatrice served on a committee for Dress for Success, helping women make the most of their second chance as well as Chill Sacramento as the Marketing Strategist for the wellness brand. She has also served on the NAWBO-Sac Valley Board of Directors, helped bring NAWBO SB 826 to the floor (women on corporate boards), and was nominated by NAWBO in 2018 for the Achievement Against All Odds award.
.
Deatrice earned her bachelor's degree from East Carolina University and is currently pursuing her Master/Doctorate at NC State University for Psychology/Family Life Education. With an extensive background in TV/Film and Marketing, she has always gravitated toward storytelling. In 2019, she took a sabbatical in Guatemala City. It was during that time that she felt the need to not only write her story but encourage others to write their own. After 5 years of building in California, she relocated back to the Carolinas to be closer to family and to find ways to give back to the community that shaped her.
