The Lost World - Re-Imagined
In The Lost World, Edward D. Malone, a newspaper reporter for The Daily Gazette, has been assigned to write an article on the irascible Professor George Edward Challenger who has recently returned from South America with unbelievable accounts of prehistoric life on a remote, uncharted plateau deep in the heart of the Amazon. The scientific community in London believes that Challenger is a fraud, so the professor plans a new expedition to establish the veracity of his claims. He asks for volunteers to accompany him, and Malone steps forward in hopes that the perilous journey will impress the woman he loves. They will also be joined by the wealthy adventurer Lord John Roxton and the sceptical Professor Summerlee, who hopes to prove that Challenger is in fact a charlatan.
