The Magic of Nature
Starting his summer vacation at his relative's house in the country, urbanite Jason Brown, a 5th grader who is interested in Nature, goes on his very first field trip with his cousin, David. By evening, tired and his head swimming with facts, Jason falls asleep and enters a bizarre but wonderful dream world during which he experiences an Alice-in-Wonderland-like adventure with talking animals as large as he is. Being back in the field, he has conversations with each animal about its fascinating life in Nature and how it fits into its environment. Upon terminating his trip, he talks with Little Eagle, a Native American boy who presents Jason with a gift to help him remember the importance of respecting the natural world.
