Wayne Michael O'Connor has done an outstanding job with this book. I couldn't put the book down and now my 13 year old son can't stop reading it. I can't wait for the sequel to see where Archarius goes from here.

Great story. Enjoyed the Roman history and especially some of Jesus' explanations to common questions.

This book was well thought out and well written; it is evident that the Holy Spirit guided Mr. O'Connor as he was writing this story. This story contains several important messages, themes, and symbols (my personal favorite which is the water barrel) which are both thought provoking and inspiring. O'Connor's main character (Archarius) is both relatable and inspiring. If there were more people in the world like Archarius, the world may be a brighter place. This book teaches the reader to have an open mind and to not be afraid to be different. We don't have to keep to the status quo because it is popular or expected of us...what we should do is believe in what is right and just and treat others as we want to be treated. If we open ourselves to the Holy Spirit, the Spirit will help guide us in our lives. The Bible selections chosen by the author are impeccable and seemingly flow effortlessly throughout the entirety of the book. I would be interested to see a sequel which describes Archarius's journey after his life-changing shift in the cell. Do yourself a favor and read this; you'll be glad you did.
