About the Author

My name is Walt crawley, and I am currently a disabled author and illustrator of children's books. I grew up in the midst of S.E. Washington D.C. during that time, like most of my schoolmates, I was raised by my single mom, who helped me avoid the violence of the city streets. As I got older, I became interested in God and started studying the bible, and I have enjoyed increasing my knowledge about the true God and his qualities and how those qualities are reflected in his very creation. As a city boy, there was very little I could see in the starry heavens, but as I grew, I could travel beyond the city limits. On one clear cold winter night, I gazed up to the night sky and was awe-inspired as I saw an actual display of God's incredible power.
I saw the night sky filled with stars and shooting stars, taking my breath away. As I stood there in amazement, it strengthened my faith that there is a true God of love who gave us such a wonderful gift to see. Thus that became one of my inspirations for (The Moon Through The trees,) which will begin a series of stories about a single mom raising her twin daughters on her own and teaching them about the many wonders of God's creation and that even the well-educated can acknowledge the existence of a Creator. So I hope both children and their parents will enjoy these stories so that they too may be motivated to learn about the many wonders of God's creative works and get to know the Creator personally.
