That Christmas Eve, when all our children and grandchildren
gathered at our house, I ('Grandma') surprised everybody
with a dramatic reading of the Christmas poem the Lord had
given me. My grandchildren's faces lit up with excitement
and belief as the true story of Christmas unfolded within
their young hearts and minds. They loved it!

And so it is with great joy that I share with you this poem,
the reading of which is now a family Christmas Eve tradition
at our house, and I hope at your house as well, from now on,
to the glory of God. Truly it is the greatest story ever told, as
recorded in Luke 2:1-20, about the birth of the Son of God,
Jesus Christ — God's Christmas Gift to the world - who came
down from Heaven two thousand years ago to save us from
our sins.
