This book tells its long history, how it was built, describes its route in rich detail, explains how a steam locomotive works, covers the rolling stock, takes a tour through the workshops and tells the most spectacular stories from locals and railroad workers firsthand.

For 7 years we traveled the entire branch line interviewing locals and railroad workers in search of the living history of this Patagonian steam train, one of the last in original condition remaining in the world. We conducted dozens of interviews, built up an image bank with more than 2,000 photos and created a traveling photo exhibition.
