About the Author

Immanuel Ness is Professor of Political Science at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He is the author of Southern Insurgency, Guest Workers and Resistance to U.S. Corporate Despotism and numerous other works. He is editor of the International Encyclopedia of Revolution and co-editor, with Zak Cope, of the quarterly periodical, Journal of Labor and Society.

Zak Cope is an author and professional researcher. He received his PhD from Queen’s University Belfast. He is co-editor, with Immanuel Ness, of the quarterly periodical, Journal of Labor and Society as well as The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Imperialism and Anti-Imperialism. His published works include Dimensions of Prejudice and Divided World Divided Class.
