the panichi's peach tree: fenwick's fruit
a child's truth. the rhymes and riddles of a childhood, dreams in doodles and scribbles, the community pool and catholic school. for what frankie argie mchugh moved from; to hardback it. what it meant to me to be a kid; the closets i hid in, the neighborhood i knew, and the ice cream i ate. poems of sly humor and haunting stories that are horror stories. the panichi's peach tree is what some would say is of my garden of eden. a homily to the sand that was a daughter to me, the hose i washed myself with, and the skin-toned tiles i sang to. this is the poetry of the not-so-pure. crafted in chaos; to live bi-curiously, breathe the breath, trick or treat, love childishly, and throw a tantrum as a grade schooled kid one last time.
