Overview

An ancient graveyard in a dark wetland forest, unanswered questions about the disappearance of a father, the violence of a gale-driven blizzard, a life-threatening trap, and the loss of family are only a few of the life changing events in an abandoned kittens' pathway to find a new home. Patches, an abandoned kitten born in a small New England town on the coast of Maine, embarks upon a journey to not only find a forever home but to also understand his loss of family. The tireless search and hardships he encounters purvey the plight of stray pets whether abandoned, abused, neglected, or orphaned. Inspired by actual events, this heartfelt story imparts an understanding of compassion, encourages hope, and helps us to perceive the complexities faced in life. If people better understood the need for compassion and empathy, perhaps our world could become a better place. We all face paths in life that are ones not always chosen. This story is about one such life.
