The Poetry of Robert Frost: The Collected Poems, Complete and Unabridged by Robert Frost

A feast for lovers of American literature-the work of our greatest poet, redesigned and relaunched for a new generation of readers

No poet is more emblematically American than Robert Frost. From "The Road Not Taken" to "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening," he refined and even defined our sense of what poetry is and what it can do. T. S. Eliot judged him "the most eminent, the most distinguished Anglo-American poet now living," and he is the only writer in history to have been awarded four Pulitzer Prizes.

Henry Holt is proud to announce the republication of four editions of Frost's most beloved work for a new generation of poets and readers.

The only comprehensive volume of Frost's verse available, comprising all eleven volumes of his poems, this collection has been the standard Frost compendium since its first publication in 1969.

Outstanding book. Robert Frost is as eternal as his beautiful poetry. 'Two roads diverged in the yellow woods, and I could not travel both'. The man within knew the limitations of his existency. 'For what I tasted of desire,I think I know enough of hate, to say that for destruction ice is also great and would suffice'.The poet within struggled with his prophetic views for humankind. I believe America has been well served by Robert Frost. His poetry lives on for generations to come, and as they read, ponder and enjoy Frost's masterpieces they will feel rewarded and priviledged to set eyes in such noble and timeless work of Literature! When I was a small child growing up in the Northest of Brazil, and as I came accross the Portuguese versions of Frost's poems, I promissed myself I would learn english well, so that I could read and understand the meaning of those verses in the very language they were originally written in. When I first came to the U.S. as a foreign student, my English Teachers were so pleased as I tried to recite Frost's poetry to them despite my broken English and otherwise limited vocabulary. Now, a couple of decades latter, I persuade my children to love and appreciate poetry as an art form. Poetry of Robert Frost:The collected Poems,Complete and Unabridged is an Outstanding book. A perfect gift for someone who takes pride in having a quality Library.

This collection of poems by Robert Frost is now one of my favorite poetry books. His poems are extremely well written and always interesting. This book has captured many of his best poems and I always look forward to reading them again and again. Anybody who likes thoughtful poems and creative imagination would surely love this amazing writer. This book is great for ages 13 and up because of its imaginative content and wonderful metaphors. All the greatest aspects of poetry are combined in almost each and every one of Frost's poems. Poetry was never really my favorite reading choice but after a friend pointed out this author to me, I started reading more poetry than just Shel Silverstein. I believe that anybody who likes good poetry should try this book and will probably not be dissapointed.

I graduated high school way to many years ago. It was a time when reading Robert Frost was required, not something I would have done on my own. Having said that I am so grateful that the reading of his works was mandatory as I might not have come to know his articulate painting with words. This is a great collection of Robert Frosts work and is a worthy addition to any library. I assure you there is something for everyone in this collection. Purchase a copy and escape into the mind of the poet. It is a wonderful place to visit when all else around us is in such chaos.

This was great. I also read 'Cascade' by Dennis Klett and found it to be wonderful. Very real, emotional poetry.
