This book is essential for any premed who is serious about acing there medical school interviews! I am not applying to medical school for another year, but I am so happy I purchased this book when I did. Dr. Gray outlines hundreds of common questions that you can expect to be asked on interview day. He then goes a step further by also providing answers to some of the most common questions, along with feedback on how to improve your own answers. Because I read this book ahead of time, I can start crafting my own answers to these questions using my life experiences over the next year. Of course, you can be sure that I will read it again come interview season! So regardless of where you are in your premed journey; the sooner you get this book, the more you will gain from it. Dr. Gray also hosts four podcasts at All of them are just as valuable as this book for helping premeds learn what it takes to get into medical school.

Thank you so much for writing this book, Dr. Gray! You have really thought of everything--questions to ask admissions, current students, your interviewer(s), and yourself--in order to prepare for the most successful medical school interview you possibly can! I have been referring to one chapter daily as I compile all the necessary information I will need prior to my upcoming interview so I can fully consider all aspects. Nobody wants to be surprised on interview day, and with this reading companion, I don't think I will be. Also, thank you for the uplifting statement on the final page. I will certainly be reading that over and over at the airport, hotel, and even at the school right before I interview. Thank you for believing in all of us and for everything you do for the wonderful community of pre-medical students!

This book is an excellent resource, and I highly recommend it. Dr. Gray has been a significant, and positive, influence on my career path. If it were not for his clear guidance through his media, including this book, I likely would not be as successful as I have been.

I (literally) have not been able to put this book down. It's such an engaging book, and is as fun to read as it is informative. Dr. Gray compiled a comprehensive list of practice questions and has examples of how to answer a few of the most challenging questions interviewers ask, and this has been so helpful in guiding my interview preparation! I highly recommend this book to any pre-med who is applying (and I also recommend checking out Dr. Gray's podcast, The Premed Years, if you haven't already!)

The road to medical school acceptance is much like a marathon; you do NOT want to run out of steam in the home stretch after all that training! In his book, Dr. Gray coaches superbly, taking you through that pivotal interview day. He breaks it down part by part and gives invaluable pointers throughout. A must-read!!

This book was an excellent read from beginning to end. I found myself trying to answer the interview questions that are presented in the book and really having to think about just how I would answer. But he also guides us to the best ways to come up with your answer. I'm a few years out from applying to medical school but with this book in my bookshelf now, I know that I will be excellent at my interview.

This is such a great book! Not only was it informative but there are concrete examples of how you should word responses and how you should not word them. It has made me feel more confident about interviews and even though I'm not applying until next cycle, this was such a great read and I am excited to try and incorporate Dr. Gray's advice into my responses! I would definitely recommend this book to all of my friends!

Essential book for every student preparing for medical school interviews! Dr. Gray has compiled a comprehensive list of questions that are not easily found searching the web. It has advice for every aspect of all current interview styles (MMI, closed file, panel, etc.) including what we ought to do before and after. Based off of information gathered from professionals who have served on medical admissions committees, it will encourage you to think critically about telling your story in a way that will impress interviewers. It's also a great resource to use in combination with the online Interview Stream platform at Medical School Headquarters, where Dr Gray pre-recorded several questions to simulate a real interview.
