The book takes place in a dystopian future with a cruel magical dictator who is killing girls every year waiting for the chosen girl who was prophesied to kill him, hoping he kills her 1st. Following the path of many: A young girl who has her world turned upside down just because of a chance meeting showing her she's not who she thought she was. An immortal un-killable sorcerer hell bent on keeping the world to himself. A young man who's only ever known war wishing to better the world with no power to do so. A man abandoned at birth, then widowed, trying to raise his children alone in a world full of death. A boy average in every way whose world was rocked when he lost one of his best friends forces him to find the strength within, with help from friendly voice he can't tell if its real or himself. A world full of dragons killing people and each other, a murderous king destroying the planet, the good sorcerers hiding from him, and the brave souls willing to fight him and die. Who will live? Who will die? Can the prophecy come true or will the king outlive them all?
