About the Author

Aiden Wilson Tozer (April 21, 1827- May 12, 1963) was born in the United States. He was an American Christian pastor, writer, magazine editor, and spiritual mentor. For his achievements, he got honorary doctorates from Wheaton and Houghton schools. Tozer started writing in 1931 for the denominational magazine of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Alliance Weekly, which later became the platform for his writing career. He later published the monthly column "There's Truth in It" in 1936-37 and "A Word in Season" in 1944-46. In May 1950, he started working as the editor of the Alliance Weekly, until he passed away in 1963. Tozer's The Pursuit of God (1948), gave Tozer a commonly recognized name among evangelicals. Moreover, of the 12 books he published in his lifespan, more than 40 books have been compiled from his magazine features, editorials, and transcribed speeches. A few of Tozer's works are presented in the public domain and also issued by multiple publishers.
