About the Author

Stephen Wise is fifty seven years old and is married with three young children. He is a public servant who lives and works in Birmingham, England. This is his first published work although there are several others at various stages of development. He is a keen writer and this book was painstakingly pieced together over the course of about fifteen months, spending around an hour each evening keying the story into his laptop computer.
The inspiration for this story comes from the old saying: 'be careful what you wish for'. Being a vampire is such a romantic notion; everlasting life, the power of seduction and the ability to mesmerise and overpower their human victims. While that stylised image is one that we are all very familiar with through such films as the classic horror movies about Dracula; this book examines whether a Vampires existence is as glamorous and mysterious as we are led to believe, when set against the endless time for which a vampire endures. From that basic premise the story took on a life of its own culminating in a heart breaking conclusion.
Everyone has at least one book in them but of course many of us do not set aside the time to let their ideas flourish. The author hopes that the difficult act of balancing work and home life together with a passion for storytelling, that resulted in the production of a work of over one hundred thousand words will inspire others to pick up their pen or tap away on a keyboard to bring their ideas to life.
