Dylan Royce, ex-teen pop star, needs a sexy image makeover. His first adult solo album came out under his perfect, white-washed persona and tanked. Joining a band equally famous for their music and their between-the-sheets escapades is only the start. He needs to get raunchy. Sleep with a different girl every night. But there's only one woman he wants, and she still sees him as a goody two-shoes boy-bander.

Ariel Watson is the publicist in charge of turning Dylan into the sex-god every woman dreams of doing. Frankly, she doesn't see the appeal. Until one hot kiss changes her mind. Now she wants to keep him for herself--without losing her job. Or losing Dylan the legions of drooling fans she's supposed to be building for him.

Turning bad got Dylan the woman of his dreams. But how will he choose between her...or his career catapulting him back to superstar status?

Nice and sweet Dylan and Ariel captured my heart from the very start. I easily connected with them and was very happy to go on the tour with both of them. It was funny, entertaining, sweet ,with some sexy times, read. I really enjoyed all their banter and interactions with other characters that I get to know in the first book of the series. But as always there are some unforeseen events that threaten to ruin what they have built together. Can they see through their own stubbornness and put the pride aside and have the shot in building stable relationship? Read to find out. It's worth the time.

3.5 stars The Reverse of Perfection is book 2 in this author's Bad Decisions rockstar series and can be read as a standalone. I admittedly have not read book 1, but I plan to now that I have finished this book. Dylan wants to make it as a solo artist, but he also wants to break away from the control that the record company that dictates his wardrobe, music, etc. Ariel is Cam's younger sister (a member of the band Riptide) and she is trying to re-establish herself in the PR music industry. This is a quick read that features two likable characters that are trying to stay true to themselves - a theme that I enjoyed. I gave it 3.5 stars instead of the full 4 stars because it was insta-lust turned insta-love, which is something that I always grapple with in romance books. Still the two of them made a good couple. The author did a great job with character development given how short the book was. I enjoyed the secondary characters of Jones and Cam. There was some steam and just enough drama to keep the book entertaining. I received this book from Booksprout.

Dylan Royce, Boy Band star is pigeon-holed with a youthful, snowy white persona, it’s hard to convince the world that he is all grown up and ready to act it. Now comes the tough part, turning the squeaky clean crooner into a sexy, bad boy. Enter publicist Ariel Watson, sister to the record label’s owner, woman on a mission to be independent, a mover and a brand guru. As she sets to work, creating a man out of the boy, she finds she is in danger of becoming his number one fan! As Dylan rolls with the screaming females, the sexual overtones and the drooling fans, he find he only has eyes for Ariel, but if she is to succeed, she must corral the ladies and toss Dylan into their lust-filled arms. Will she be so good at her job that she and Dylan can never be? Is it possible to have what your heart most desires AND create a sex – god legend? Do either of them really want that? Christi Barth’s THE REVERSE OF PERFECTION is proof that one must be true to one’s heart and one’s destiny, no matter where it takes you. Ms. Barth didn’t need a lot of pages to create a tale of love, filled with enchanting characters and lessons learned, because we all want to believe in making the right choices if life and love.

The Reverse of Perfection sure delivers a mighty story even with its novella length. Boy bander, Dylan Royce, is trying to move on to more adult persona and music crowd. His label hires him a publicist, Ariel Watson. Dylan’s career and success lays heavily in his ability to make the people see this change. Ariel is getting a second chance with her famous brother’s record label. She can’t mess this up or she will be riding her brother's coat tails forever. The last thing she wants to do is throw women at the sexy, irresistible Dylan but if she wants to make his career soar that’s just what is label wants her to do. Dylan wants Ariel. Ariel wants Dylan. Will they choose love over their careers or will they find another way? This is a short story that packs a punch. Never stop being true to who you really are. Both Dylan and Ariel must come to terms with this even if it costs them what they thought was most important. Great characters, wonderful moral lesson and readable in one sitting, The Reverse of Perfection just hit the right spot. I received this copy of The Reverse of Perfection from Christi Barth in exchange for a honest review.

The second book in the Bad Decisions Series, The Reverse of Perfection by Christi Barth is a wonderfully entertaining novella that packs a lot into such a short book. Two people are teetering on the edge of failure in their professional lives, but are also finding love in the process. We read about jealousy, passion, betrayal and a host of other emotions in The Reverse of Perfection. I enjoyed watching the dynamics between Dylan and Ariel and being taken behind the scenes with more rock stars! While sometimes things seemed to move quickly, I had to remind myself that this is a novella, so the build up in a relationship is much quicker than that of a full length novel. Barth did an excellent job giving the two of these characters depth and the plot overall was interesting to me. It’s not one I have read about before. The chemistry between the two was tangible, as was their passion, which lead to some hot scenes. What I adored the most about these two was the respect for one another which was so palpable you couldn’t help but root for Dylan and Ariel for a happy ever after! If you haven’t read the first book in the series, The Opposite of Right, you can still read the second one without missing a beat, as the main characters are new. I did enjoy the appearances by characters we meet in the first one, specifically Cam. After reading this one you will want to go back and learn all about Riptide! The Reverse of Perfection is a fabulous book that will take you away from reality, plunge you into the world of rock stars and sweep you off your feet with romance. I highly recommend you give it a read!

The Reverse of Perfection by Christi Barth is the 2nd book in her Bad Decisions series. I am a fan of Christi, as she does wonderful pure romances in all her series, as well as creating wonderful characters. Having read the first book in this series, The Opposite of Right, I knew I would enjoy this new story. Dylan Royce is our hero, who is a teen pop idol, whose career is slowly slowing down as he is no longer a teenager. His manager wants Dylan to do a makeover promoting him as a sex magnet. The manager gets Dylan a short stint with a top band that is known for their wild escapades, which will give Dylan the exposure of changing his image. Enter Ariel Watson, our heroine, who is the sister of Riptide’s band leader, as well as a publicist. Ariel is asked to help promote and change Dylan’s image. At first, all she sees is the teen idol, who still dresses the same, and isn’t sure she wants to accept this. Dylan had met Ariel years before, and has dreamed of her all this time. He sets out to prove to her that he is not the teenage idol, bit is in fact a sexy bad boy hidden under those clothes. When Dylan tries to prove his point by giving Ariel a steamy kiss, she accepts the job. It is up to her to change his image to the public, and keep herself away from becoming involved. What follows is a sweet and sexy story, with a couple that we fall for right away. I loved Dylan and Ariel together. Of course there will be obstacles that will threaten their relationship, especially when the public begins to see Dylan in another light. Rather than tell too much more, I suggest you read this fun sexy romance, get to meet all the other band members and enjoy the music background theme. Christi Barth had created another wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
