The Rocky Road to Civil Rights in the United States

Overview

Much has happened in the history of our country as the races have struggled through how to relate to each other. Some of it has been good - much of it has been very sad. I have not attempted to chronicle everything along the road to equity between the races - but to try to hit the high and low points along that path. As I conducted this study, several different categories of events seemed to jump out at me: "Society", "Government", "Military", and "Sports". These categories are by no means exhaustive, or exclusive. I arranged the various events in one or more of these categories in an attempt to more clearly show what happened.
