What more could you ask for? How about a cute pet skunk? This was a great, light summer read. I love a good sex scene in my romance, but I didn't miss it at all. I love the characters and found myself laughing outloud. I just finished this 2nd book in the series and I've ordered the 3rd. My 12 year old daughter & I started reading this one outloud to eachother during downtime at our summer yardsale. Don't tell her I finished without her! The romance is about the level of a Hallmark Channel movie with plenty of southern charm. I found the main character to be a strong role model for young women. She stands up for what is right and protects the ones she loves . She is brave and independent. Bottom line is this is a well written, funny, mystery with a romance & ghosts. The ghost scenes are intense enough to be believable, but not "keep you up at night" scary. I highly recommend this series for anyone 12 to 112 looking for a fun summer read.

This book was great to read. It was greatly written, and was something that anyone reaing it could enjoy without worry a PG rating. The end line I didnt see coming. The author is good at keeping her readers in suspense. I have every intention of reading this book again as soon as i get the next novel so it will be like the continuing of the set. Thank you Angie for a really cool read. Teresa

This series has great characters, humor, danger, and suspense. And you won't suspect "who done it" until the end. Start with Book 1. It's free. But be warned . . . you won't want to stop!

Verity and Frankie make a great team, even if one of them is a ghost. This series has it all. Humor, suspense, love and a pet skunk. I'll be reading the rest of the series as soon as they are available.

Angie Fox takes the reader into a wonderful Southern town, Sugerland, with her spunky main character, Levity Long who has accidentally gotten attached to a local ghost, Frankie. With his colorful past as a gangster, Frankie takes on a new role to help Levity solve ghostly and present day mysteries. This time they are drawn into a celebration of the town's past historical Civil War battle that leaves a canon ball lodged in the wall of the historical library. Ms. Fox has created a fun read full of excitement and humor bring in the flavor of living amongst ghosts and present day in Tennessee.

I loved this one just as much as the first book. However I think this one was way more of a mystery than book one. Frankie (the German) is still stuck at Verity's house and he is still funny. Verity just keeps finding herself in sticky situations, which make for a great book. Has: mystery, humor, of course lots of ghosts and a little bit of romance

Fun and a mystery which has murder and attempted murder, angry ghosts, bored ghosts, kidnapping, and a whole lot more. Suspense and tension enough to keep the reader interested, but not real enough to trigger PTSD. Add in a pet skunk, a pestering ex, an attractive deputy, and a town celebration, and good writing, and you have a good read.

Title: The Skeleton in the Closet - The Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery 2 Author: Angie Fox Published: 8-30-2015 Publisher: Season Publishing Pages: 251 Genre: Mystery, Thrillers & Suspense Sub Genre: Romance; Ghost Hunter; Supernatural ISBN: 9781939661272 ASIN: B00Z7X35EI Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: NetGalley . . Sugarland is celebrating the Cannonball in the Wall Festival, commemoration of the Battle of Sugarland a proud moment in the town's history. The celebration kicks off with reenactment of the original battle, the two sides are lead by the two leading families, the Jacksons and the Wydells. The same Wydell family Verity nearly married into and is now dating her ex-fiancé Beau's brother Ellis, the local Deputy sheriff. Confused don't be, suffice to say Beau and his mother are snobbish jerks and Ellis is the nice sweet one. I think he is adopted, because he could not be a blood relation to the other two. On the second day of the celebration has arrived at the library at the requested 6 am to help her sister Melody set up for the catered luncheon. Finding the door to the library open the search for Darla Grace who must have stayed the night logging the last minute antique items from Virginia Wydell for the celebration. While Melody goes to finish the cataloging Verity looks over the Wydell exhibit when she spies a shoe that has fallen off the table and is partially hidden under the table curtain. Knowing how shrewish Virginia can be Verity reaches down to replace the shoe back into the display. There is only one problem. There is a foot attached to the shoe. She found Darla Grace, when suspicion falls on her sister Verity uses all help at her disposal, Ellis, friends and her resident ghost Frankie even a few new ones she meets in the library. If you have not read any of Angie Fox's The Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery series you are in for a treat. Verity and the other characters of The Skeleton in the Closet are well developed. They seem so real you will have a definite reaction to them. Some you will like, some you will hate and some you will shake your head at as you read about them. Keep an eye out for Lucy, she is a real sweetheart. The plot is interesting and with a few twist and turns you will not want to put the book down. Although this is the second in the series you will have no problem reading this book as a standalone. You are in luck though there are other books available to read when you are done with Skeleton in the Closet. a definite 5 out of 5 stars.
