Anita Vogel was born in Germany and moved to Detroit when she was a little girl. She loved music, theater, and learning. She studied to become a teacher and loved helping young children learn. She also volunteered at a hospital and a family support center. Anita is a mom to two grown-up kids, Stephanie and Christopher, and a grandma to Josie and Haydn. She wrote The Solution to Pollution to share her love of learning and helping others with young readers like you!

Michelle Schervish is an illustrator and artist based in Detroit. As a former art teacher, she now makes vibrant and engaging illustrations for children's books.
