About the Author

As the daughter of a career Army Officer, Rebecca James was born in Seoul South Korea and has lived in Virginia, Tennessee, England, and Florida. Rebecca began writing fantasy adventure stories for fun as a six-year old with titles like My Dog, The Princess and the Orphan and, most recently, The Lilly Leapers-a 9,000 word story about little people who live on lily pads. Now at 12 years old and currently living in Miami, Florida, her interest in writing continues to grow and she decided to write a novel in 30 days as part of the Young Writers Program's "National Novel Writing Month." Her goal was to be a published author before her 13th birthday. Well done, she made that goal a reality. She is currently working on book 2 of the Shifting Chronicles.
