He was a one night stand kind of guy... She was a forever kind of girl.
Kate Harris was starting over. After a failed marriage, she was leaving Santa Cruz and moving to Virginia City to work on the fifty acre horse ranch before taking a teaching position in the fall. She needed to find herself again, but that was before she met the wild stallion, Black Thunder, and the overbearing Jack McBride.
Ranch owner, Jack McBride was a man's man. He was arrogant, rugged and liked giving orders. His passion was possession and his craving control. He wasn't about tomorrow mornings, never feeling the need to make it permanent...that is until he met Kate. Now he wanted her, all of her, his obsession sparked by her refusal.
Sexy and very addicting, the Black Thunder Trilogy is a masterfully woven tale about one man's journey to abandon his past and seal his future to the one woman he must possess.

Yes, Jack is an overbearing alpha...and God do I ever love that man! I read this knowing just what kind of cowboy Kate had agreed to work for. Her friends, Adam and Clara, had known him for years. However, what they didn't realize is just how deep that man could fall in love. I enjoyed all of this read and even read til 6 in the morning because I couldn't put it down! Jack and Clara both have heartbreak in their pasts. They seem to ignite a deep passion in one another from the moment Clara introduces them in the bar. Black Thunder also stole my heart. I cried at that part of the conclusion. It was almost spiritual and very touching. I will definitely be reading more about this rancher and the lady who tamed his heart! Consider Me Tamed! Where do I begin? The characters, the plot, the heart wrenching love story... I adored all of it. Cary makes you fall completely in love with Kate and Jack and their love story will have you biting your nails one minute and grinning the next. At first, I didn't think it was possible to find any saving qualities in the brooding Jack McBride. He's meditative, pushy and a little too outspoken for his own good. Yet, Cary's writing dives deep into the heart of the man until you're left with nothing but a deep seeded sense of redemption.
