Overview

Roses of Winter, the author's novel set in World War II Glasgow, left the Burns and McIntyre families hoping for a better future for themselves and a new generation born free of the shadow of war. They don't realize that they face a world about to change in unimaginable ways.

Spanning over six decades, The Taste of Dust tells the story of that new generation through the eyes of Andrew McIntyre. Born into the world of tenements and housing schemes in working class Glasgow, Andrew hopes for a better future. To find it he must leave his troubled family and the city of his birth.
