About the Author

I am a Kentucky native blessed with a remembrance of my mountain heritage who had the honor of knowing the lady and her family who are memorialized in this novel. I grew up in a family of nine children and always reflect on my Appalachian heritage and the importance of faith and family values. We were truly pioneers of Eastern Kentucky. If ever a list of must tell stories were made, this story would rank at the top of that list. It is my wish that every reader obtain a renewed sense of faith and family value as they read this novel. I was educated in Kentucky, served in the United States Army, and have three lovely daughters. The love for Appalachia and my home state of Kentucky are the reasons I continue to tell their stories.
