The Trouble with Turkeys is the second book in the Zoe Donovan cozy mystery series. Zoe and Jeremy are recently unemployed because of Zoe's interference in solving the murder in Halloween Hijinks, and Jeremy is desperate for an income. Jeremy convinces Zoe to take a well paid assignment looking after a bunch (flock) of turkeys when their owner is found dead. Of course, it turns out he was murdered and there are all kinds of suspects. Zoe enlists Zach to help her solving the mystery and her attraction to Zach heats up. Can she forgive him for being a better student than she was in school? This is a fun series with likeable characters. The author knows how to spin a mystery and keeps the reader guessing until practically the last chapters. Plus there are recipes, that look really good.
