About the Author

Megan is the author of The Ultimate Elf, a festive children’s book inspired by her own joyful (and very busy) life during the holiday season. Much like Murfe the elf, she spends her Christmases spreading joy—only instead of magic, she uses lights, garlands, and glitter.

She works in her family’s business—also called The Ultimate Elf—founded by her mom, the original elf. Together, they decorate homes and businesses throughout Chicagoland for Christmas and events all year round. When she’s not up a ladder hanging wreaths, she’s writing stories that capture the magic of the holidays and the spirit of celebration. This is her debut children’s book, and in a funny way, her own elf-sized autobiography.

Fun Fact: Murfe is actually Megan’s middle name—a playful nickname her grandpa gave her mom after she misspelled Murphy’s Five & Dime Store as a little girl. The name stuck, and now it lives on in the story.
