On a cool afternoon in November 1864 James Murphy is killed during the Battle of Franklin. Death is not the end for Murphy. He awakens in a strange room with dozens of other men and discovers that all of the soldiers killed in battle on both sides have been brought back to continue the fight. Murphy and his friend Pat O'Quinn don't believe that is the whole reason they are here and resolve to find out why there are here, where here is and who is it that brought them here. With or without permission of their officers they plan to take off to discover the answers as to why they are here to fight The War After Time.

About the Author
The author has long had an interest in military history. Growing up just outside of Trenton, New Jersey he was introduced to military history at a young age as a result of Trenton's pivotal role in Washington's Winter 1776-77 campaign. Throughout his early life, the author had the honor of visiting many of the historic battlefields that dot this country. This only deepened his interest in the subject. While at Vanderbilt University he studied history with a minor in political science. The author also has been a lifelong fan of science fiction. Especially military SF such as Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers, Joe Haldeman's Forever War, and Roland Green's Starcruiser Shenandoah series just to name a few. He is also a fan of the military fiction of authors such as Harold Coyle and Dale Brown. This, the author's first novel, was a NaNoWriMo 2013 winner.
