Overview

FOX News religion analyst, program director of the Catholic Channel on SiriusXM radio, and bestselling author Father Jonathan Morris reveals how the Serenity Prayer offers a sure path to peace and fulfillment for everyone, not just those in recovery programs. The Serenity Prayer states:

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Exploring the prayer phrase by phrase, Morris shows the hope that can be found by gaining a deeper spiritual understanding of its words and by practicing its message. Enlightening and profound, The Way of Serenity includes moving narratives, illuminating historical anecdotes, and pertinent biblical passages that demonstrate the power of the Serenity Prayer to help us grow closer to God and find greater peace and happiness.

By far the best book he's written and I have them all. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with finding their own inner peace and happiness in the midst of chaos called life. It really has made me a more peaceful individual and I refer back to certain chapters whenever I'm feeling tense/stressed and I just love the prayers he has at the end of each chapter! This book is a must read. I'd also recommend When God Stopped Keeping Score.

I am on the last chapter today. This book is thought provoking and helpful on so many levels. I will be returning to reread many of of my highlighted sections and try to capture my thoughts in my own words. I just gave this book to a friend who lost her husband to cancer last week. She held onto it as if it was her personal lifeline. Thank you for offering this book and to the author for writing it.

This book was a phenomenal read. I had seen an interview with it's author on EWTN and had to buy it and read it right away. Fr. Morris' book is one I'll read again and again. It is tremendous Lenten reading and I'm recommending it to others.
