Overview

Moving on has never been harder—or so perfectly unpredictable…

Peyton Prescott would give anything for the carefree life she knew before breast cancer changed everything. But instead of using her second chance to move forward, she’s stuck promoting the memoir her brother convinced her to write, thus reliving the very battle she wants to forget. If she hopes her European book tour will allow her to enjoy revisiting her favorite travel-writing destinations, she’s wrong: her PR whiz is too consumed with his own goals to consider her needs.

Mitch Mathis has relied on discipline to achieve his goals, and with his new firm’s success riding on Peyton’s book launch, he must keep her on task. They’re here for business, not pleasure. And Mitch won’t let unbridled desire harm his professional reputation—not again.

When frustrated expectations and attraction throw the tour into chaos, it challenges everything Mitch and Peyton believe about themselves, life, and love, forcing these opposites to consider whether they can embrace the change they need to grow.

The Wonder of Now is my favorite book in the series! I adore Peyton. The only problem I have with this book is that I now want more! Jamie Beck is a wonderful writer and writes with so much heart, it's impossible not to fall in love with her stories. This book is a must read!

Book 3 in the Sanctuary Sound Series. This story follows survivor Peyton as she starts her PR trip for her and her brother, Logan, book that follows Peyton’s breast cancer journey thru chemo. Peyton is embarking on an European book tour to promote their book, along with Mitch, her PR guru. This book feels more like a stand alone, then a series. But, to learn the emotional baggage of the characters more intently, you should read the previous two. Beck does a great job of making you feel Peyton’s fear, regret and uncertainty of her situation. I received an ARC of this book, opinion is mine alone.

The third book in the Sanctuary Sound series finds Peyton Prescott writing her memoir about her personal journey with breast cancer. Having a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, Peyton would rather forget the worst time in her life and go back to the carefree girl she used to be. At the insistence of her publisher, Peyton is going on a book tour to Europe to promote her book although her brother Logan will not be able to accompany her due to having to help plan his wedding. Publicist Mitch Mathis is hired by Peyton's publisher to accompany her on the tour. Taking his responsibilities seriously, Mitch is relying on this tour to make his company successful. After an in office affair turned out bad, he has swore that he will never let his personal feelings interfere with his business ever again. As the tour progresses, Mitch and Peyton's feelings begin to grow stronger towards one another but can they forget the past and try to make the future brighter for them both? Author Jamie Beck has magically written a beautiful heartfelt series that touches on every emotion! I am anxiously awaiting to see what the extremely talented, Author ,has in store for her readers next!

The Wonder of Now is book three in the Sanctuary Sound series, and I couldn’t wait the read it since I’ve loved the first two books. When I received an invitation from the publisher, via Net-Galley, I immediately accepted the chance to read and review an advance reader copy. My opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way. I met the heroine in the first two books, and because I had information regarding her character, that had me intrigued. I delved in right away and was immediately captured with this compelling romance. The writing is smooth and flows beautifully, making The Wonder of Now an engaging, and at times, emotional reading experience. Peyton Prescott went through life never taking it seriously. Then she received the news that she had breast cancer. The man she thought she loved, ghosted her. She’d willing destroyed a life-long friendship for that heel. Now she’s cancer free and has finished the memoir she wrote with her brother’s help. She’s scheduled for a European tour and meets her publicist. Mitch Mathis is driven to ensure Peyton’s book is a huge success. Peyton dreads the ordeal, knowing it will keep her cancer journey the main focus, when what she really wants, is move on with her life. One thing she didn’t count on, nor does she want––an attraction to a man––and certainly not one as rigidly structured and goal driven as Mitch is. Will he win their tug of war, or will she? I’m normally not fond of romances where the main characters are at odds with each other, but Peyton and Mitch are perfect together, a true opposites attract couple. Her zest for life is exactly what Mitch needs. He’s far too responsible and needs to learn to relax. The relationship between Peyton and Mitch is intense, and the attraction is combustible. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them fall in love. Peyton’s character has matured beyond what I would have ever imagined since the first book. She’s learned her actions have consequences, and sometimes, life deals you a tough hand. Now that she’s cancer free, she must find a new way. I relished her journey to finding fulfillment again. Mitch is an interesting hero. He had to take on the care of his sister and mother as a teenager, so he’s never learned to play. At first, he finds Peyton irritating, although extremely attractive. He doesn’t understand her, and I loved watching him soften and relax as he spends time with Peyton. If you enjoy romances with complex characters and an original plot, then you will enjoy The Wonder of Now. While this can be read as a stand-alone novel, I highly recommend reading the other books in the series. Happy reading!

Wow this book for me was such an emotional read. This was the third book in this series and this book is about Peyton and Mitch. I have been waiting for Peyton’s book. Jamie Beck did not disappoint me. I loved the story line and the character that Jamie Beck picked out for Peyton’s love interest he was the perfect match for her. The story was so heartwarming and at the same time it had just the right amount of drama to keep you turning the pages. This book is a must read! Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Wonder of Now by Jamie Beck Sanctuary Sound Book 3 Once again Jamie Beck has written another awesome read. Peyton’s character was true to life dealing with the breast cancer survival. Life does go on and Peyton proved she could deal with the cancer and move on with her life, and find true love with Mitch. Mitch was a kind and loving man and loved Peyton for who she was, strong, caring hard working woman. I would definitely recommend this book. I had the pleasure of meeting Jamie Beck at an event Boas & Tiaras in June held in Allen, Texas. It was worth the 3 hour drive. I also met many new Authors.

I first heard about this book in the @Booksparks #FRC2019 Lineup and I knew I had to read this. Peyton and Mitch’s story in The Wonder of Now by Jamie Beck, is book three in her Sanctuary Sound series. I love opposites attract tropes and this one gave me all the feels. Peyton writes a memoir about her surviving cancer battles and goes on an European book tour promoting her reflections during her treatment and recovery. Her brother Logan talked her into this publication and took the photos of her cancer journey. Mitch Mathis is there for only business and has laser sharp focus to make sure this book is a success! Will Mitch and Peyton ever see eye to eye - or will a heart to heart ensue instead. I LOVED his book. It tackled difficult topics with sensitivity. I love how wonderful this story is and as a nurse who once worked with cancer patients, this story really tugged at my heartstrings and all the emotions with it . This is definitely a "keep tissue nearby" read. I truly loved Beck's writing style and it really drew me in to this lovely story. thoroughly enjoyable read. I loved the complexity of the characters Jamie Beck wrote about and the chemistry build up was amazing with wonderful dialogue, and banter, which made this one of my favorite reads this year for me. I highly recommend this read and glad it made the list for the Booksparks Fall reading challenge 2019. Thank you Montlake Romance for the copy of this book for my voluntary and objective review.

Jamie Beck's talent sets the bar so much higher for her sequels. I loved this series, in particular, 'The Memory of You', so when it was time for Peyton's story to be told, I was cautiously optimistic due to the hangover of Claire's betrayal at the hands of Peyton. Ms. Beck did an admirable job of humanizing Peyton, of softening her characterization. Once Peyton was stripped of her glamorous facade, the true facets of her personality were allowed to shine through. Mitch was the perfect partner to ground her yet grow himself as their relationship evolved—and the poor guy really needed to loosen up. As always, highly recommended. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Jamie Beck for an ARC of 'The Wonder of Now' in exchange for an honest review.

The Wonder of Now is both heartbreaking and uplifting as Peyton and Mitch both deal with painful pasts and uncertain futures. WOW!!! This story definitely has all the feels!! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Peyton and Mitch’s story in The Wonder of Now by the talented Jamie Beck, book three in her Sanctuary Sound series. This opposites attract love story looks at the struggles and fears a person surviving cancer battles, especially as Peyton goes on an European book tour promoting her reflections during her treatment and recovery. Her brother Logan talked her into this publication and took the photos of her cancer journey. Ms. Beck tackled difficult topics with sensitivity and this incredible story tugged at my heartstrings and emotions and is one of my top reads this year. Warning: keep tissue nearby as you read this story. Peyton is a free spirit who would love to return to her pre-cancer carefree ways. Mitch is a PR genius who is accompanying Peyton on the European book tour. While Peyton wants to revisit some her favorite travel-writing locations Mitch wants to use any free time rehearsing for the tour. Peyton wants to do her book readings from the heart, Mitch wants them rehearsed. Peyton wants to answer possible questions as they are asked, Mitch wants her to anticipate the questions and prepare answers. Mitch lives by his rules for success, one of which is not to get involved with someone he is working with. It has been a while since Peyton finds herself attracted to a man, let alone feel the tingles from touching or kissing him. Let’s just say their chemistry is off the charts. These two opposites learn how to compromise and cope with their differences. Peyton and Mitch also learned more about themselves as they connect and challenge each other. When bad news affects them, they need to work together to save their love instead of allowing it to rip them apart. Ms. Beck writes to the soul; the soul of her characters as well as the readers. This wonderful and amazing tale was emotional, and moving, filled with sexual chemistry, wonderful dialogue, and endearing characters that is must read. I totally loved Peyton and Mitch and didn’t want to put this book down. I highly recommend Wonder of Now to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

The Wonder of Now is the third book in the Sanctuary Sound series, written by romance author Jamie Beck…And…WOW! This one is incredible! Peyton Prescott documented her post-cancer diagnosis life in a heartfelt and private book that she and her brother, Logan, published. Staying with his talents, Logan photographed the moments to accompany her story. Mitch Mathis is the PR agent helping to promote Peyton’s book overseas…which is difficult with his family history, and his attraction to Peyton. The way author Jamie Beck wrote this book was fantastic! Diving into personal feelings of someone trying to survive a double mastectomy, the after care, and emotions….GAH!!! So incredible! The passages Peyton read of her book was tear jerking, but amazing. The characters, love story, backstory, emotional recovery…were all wrapped together so beautifully! I couldn’t put this down. I wanted to read it until I knew what happened. I felt so deeply touched by this story. Even though it is in the series, you do not need to read the first two in order to enjoy this one. Absolutely fantastic read! 5 stars

The Wonder of Now by Jamie Beck a wonder of a four-star read. This is number three in the Sanctuary Sound series, I have read and enjoyed the first two novels in this series and enjoyed them in order as they build, and we get to more of the characters that we have grown to love. That being said I enjoyed finally getting the chance to really get to know Peyton, watch her as she gets to know herself again. Throw in her complete opposite Mitch, and some added dramas and you have a great story. I have oversimplified there but you need to read this series, it is filled with deepness and drama and will surprise you all the way through.

4.5 stars The Wonder of Now is a well-written, emotional story, about grief, loss, forgiveness, and living life to the fullest. Peyton hasn’t felt like her carefree self since she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her brother, Logan, has always been her champion and coach. So when Logan encouraged Peyton to work through her feelings by writing a memoir, she reluctantly did so. Once the book was completed, however, Peyton wasn’t exactly keen, on promoting it and verbalizing her many, painful experiences. There was a silver lining, though, and that came in the form of a handsome publicist. Mitch not only accompanied Peyton to all of her book signings, he lifted her spirits and became more than a friend. Mitch was harboring a secret, however, and felt, at least in part, that it was affecting his ability to represent Peyton. Could their fragile, new relationship survive a lie or two? He wasn’t so sure it could. The Wonder of Now is a gripping novel with realistic characters, raw emotion, and heartfelt dialogue. I was captivated from the very first page. Thank you, Montlake Romance and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is the third in the Lilac Lane League series of books that centers around lifelong friends Steffi, Claire and Peyton. All three women are dealing with the ramifications of a traumatic physical event and moving on with their life. We met Peyton in book one and she had caused a rift between the friends when she ran off with Claire’s fiancé Todd. When Peyton was diagnosed with breast cancer, Todd dumped her. During her treatments, she and her photographer brother Logan put together a book of her journey. She is now going on a European book tour with Mitch Mathis, the PR rep for her book. He is a starting a new PR firm and ensuring Peyton’s book is a successes important. Getting involved with his client is not on his agenda, unfortunately their mutual attraction messes with his plan. Both Mitch and Peyton have a lot of issues they have to work through, but the payoff was worth it. This book deals with a lot of tough subjects, cancer, betrayal and forgiveness, and does it so well. This was a great conclusion to an interesting series. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

4 1/2 stars. This is such a wonderful book in a series I have thoroughly enjoyed. I've been waiting for Peyton's book and I knew it was going to be amazing yet hard to read at times but that it would also be a heartwarming and touching story, and I was right. Jamie Beck brings us deep into the thoughts and feelings that Peyton went through and still goes through because of her cancer and how her life has changed because of it. It is beautifully written, very emotional and totally satisfying. Mitch and Peyton find something in each other that neither was even looking for but turns out to be exactly what the other needed.

Once again, this talented author gives us a touching and thought provoking story. If you have read the previous stories in this series, and if you haven’t I highly recommend you do, you met Peyton Prescott. A complicated and complex woman whose life changes when she’s diagnosed with breast cancer. A road to recover that took her to very dark places but thanks to her brother , she came out stronger. Together they documented her illness. He with his pictures (he’s a world reknown photographer) and she with her written. She’s united with Mitch, a PR wizard with whom she goes on a European trip to promote the book. Two seemingly opposites who are attracted to each other. Both dealing with their pasts and their families . The author gives us a glimpse of the physical and emotional experiences a cancer patient goes through as well as that of the caretakers. Though Peyton was not my favorite character in the series, she certainly was the most memorable of the group. The plot was engaging, the characters complex and the story very real. Life is messing but with hope and love, it’s also worth fighting for. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley . The opinions expressed are solely my own.
