Theft of the Age
The timeless ache of alienation is both the catalyst for creation of this work and the driving storyline within. It follows a boy and girl of high-school age, blessed and cursed with adult sensibilities, and each possessing a certain moral flexibility. Caring and vicious, insightful but immature, and confused but crystal-clear, they struggle and excel in equal measure and on parallel tracks. As they move towards an intersection that neither could have ever expected, everything surrounding them descends into chaos. Theft of the Age was written out of need for escapism, and out of desire to affirm to the reader that there are others out there who see below the surface, and are affected by the view.

About the Author

Greg Walsh has walked upright down a path of resistance for most of his life. The discovery of BMX bike riding and hardcore music in early adolescence derailed the train of convention and sparked a love affair with the underground that continues to burn strong. Channeling the creativity that had been misguidedly relegated to youthful mischief and wrong-righting, Greg immersed himself in counter-culture. Through patience and perseverance, he began to make marks of his own within it, and has never looked back.

Writing intertwined itself with all his successes and setbacks, and has served as chronicle to the strange and often dangerous occurrences that were never far behind. Greg's non-fiction storytelling has been both catharsis and corruptor; if any resolution was found, it has never been without shining harsh light into dark corners, and being made to look.

In fiction, Greg creates characters that we either want to run towards and embrace or run screaming from, appeasing the notion that sometimes what appalls us on one hand, appeals to us in-kind; the strongest responses in his life have been evoked by things in equal part good and evil.

Theft of the Age, Volume 1 is Greg's first full-length work of fiction. He has also published 'War of Attrition'- a non-fiction anthology filled with stories, letters to real and imaginary people, and unnerving cultural observations.

Driven by discontent, Greg continues to scheme, write, subvert, struggle, and progress, and aims to provoke many others to do the same.

He currently lives and works on the east side of Rochester, New York.
