Their Secret Baby Bond is the third book in the Family Blessing series. Stephane Dees's third book Their Secret Baby Bond is another book I just couldn't put down. She keeps showing me the world of Claire. Wynn Sheehan has returned back home to Alabama and finds herself unmarried and pregnant. She grew up in Washington DC but ran away from home. Latham Grant was her first love. He has been having a hard time ever since she left Wynn years ago. Latham is unable to work due to the being pregnant and caring for her grandfather who isn't doing well. Readers get to see Latham and her grandfather's relationship develop. There are lots of sadness, kindness, and love. There are lots of twists and turns. I hope they make this into a Hallmark movie series.

I’ve come to enjoy my little trips back to Red Hill Springs and the growing Sheehan clan. Knowing that the final book in this series comes out in January makes me just a tidbit sad, I don’t know that I want to let them go. I sat idly by while twins Jordan and Claire snagged up the Sheehan brother’s in a whirlwind of romance and family. But what about the girls? Dear sweet Wynn, couldn’t wait to get out of Red Hill and Alabama altogether. She had dreams, big ones, and nothing was going to hold her back. Including a crush turned blossoming spring romance with Latham Grant her senior year. So what is a girl of ambition and a bit of infatuation to do? Run. And don’t look back. I mean, look back at your family and whatnot but yeah, the rest forgetaboutit. But what does that same ambitious girl do when she has all she dreamed of, and more, but is also floundering in who she really is and the knowledge that all she dreamed of may not actually be what she wants? She comes home. Not expecting to see high school flame but there she is. Just another layer to her cake of shame really. Wynn let herself, her strait arrow goals before life self, fall into the same trap women find themselves in generation after generation. Lust v Love. Ambition v Companionship. All the this versus that you can think of. She falls in love with the politician she works with, they make an amazing team in and out of Washington. Until she finds herself pregnant as he is marrying someone else that she didn’t even know existed. Yeah, all the versus. Can we say jerk wad toad nugget. Yes she made mistakes, so did he, but in the end. . .jerk wad toad nugget. The thing is, if all of this didn’t happen then Wynn may never have found her actual calling in life, her happy place, and re-found the love of her life. So, while I might despise Preston (now say it with some snark) and his toad nuggetness, if it wasn’t for him Wynn would have never found herself. Let’s face it, this series has brought me a new author that I’m really enjoying and can’t wait to see what she does next. However, this book left me a little laggy in the grand scheme. Spoiler alert, Wynn comes home pregnant. Bear with me through this a moment. There is no baby bump when she comes home. The book seems to time warp in places as a week goes by but her pregnancy goes a month in that span. In what feels like was a season (ya know 3ish months) her pregnancy jumped 6ish months. Example: The mayor offers her a seat on the council and she is going to meet with him in a few days time, however her pregnancy jumps what seems over a month in that week before she meets with him. Which is it, a month or a week? The timing plays into whether I’m irritated with insta-love or not. Did they fall for each other over a season or over a pregnancy? I mean really each could be considered insta-love but ya know. There’s kinda a big difference there. So, pending determination of insta-love and how long she is actually pregnant I feel like Wynn is really doing her part for the Sheehan Entourage. I am both excited and saddened for the next book in the series, all about Jules. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by Just Read. I was not compensated for this review and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. I was not required to write a positive review.

Continuing in the Sheehan family series and now that the brothers are happily married, author Dees now turns her attention to the sisters’ stories starting with Wynn. Wynn has come back home with dashed dreams, a broken heart, and an unexpected pregnancy. Wynn left her hometown with stars in her eyes and aspirations to make a difference in DC, unfortunately things didn’t turn out the way she would have liked. Wynn was broken in spirit and was not quite sure what to expect when she came home pregnant and unmarried. But much to her surprise, her family welcomes her with open arms and so does the man whose heart she broke ten years previous. Latham has come back home with an unfinished degree to take care of his grandfather after the sudden death of his grandmother. Latham has never stopped loving Wynn since she ran away from him on her graduation night. Knowing her dreams are beyond him, he still hopes that she will choose him over anything else. Latham certainly gave Wynn room and I understood his reluctance to hand his heart back over to Wynn. This was another sweet love story of two people finding themselves, each other, and letting their dreams go for a much better plan. I have immensely enjoyed getting to know this family and watching the characters grow through their joys and trials. This is a good family drama series. I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

4.5 stars! I have to say that this is my favorite book so far in the Family Blessings series. Though it’s book 3 in the series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. The small town of Red Hill Springs, Alabama and its inhabitants will capture your heart and imagination through this four book series. The book is well-written and easy to read, the plot is credible, and the characters are lovable and fun. This third book focuses on Wynn Sheehan, the younger sister of Joe and Ash. She’s intelligent, driven, and kind-hearted but returns home after making some mistakes and feeling like a failure. Latham, her brother’s best friend, is steadfast, loyal, unwavering, compassionate, and thoughtful and has always loved Wynn since their teenage years. They have a lot of past hurts and insecurities to hurdle but their romance is slow and sweet and their friendship is a great one to witness. I loved all the children in this book and the sentiment around the privilege of carrying a child and then helping shape his/her world is totally on point. I am looking forward to the last book in the series about Jules, Wynn’s sister! I was given a copy of this book by the author/publisher via JustRead Publicity Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.

This was such a sweet, beautiful story highlighting the fact that God may have different plans for our lives than we made for ourselves. I loved this reunion tale between Wynn and Latham! It was packed full of heart tugging moments such as when Latham realized that he had never stopped loving Wynn, the way Latham cared for his aging and confused grandfather, and a beautiful first ultrasound experience. Moments full of heart abundantly graced this book. One of Wynn’s biggest hurdles was realizing that the mistakes she made in Washington, D.C. didn’t define her, even if they were going to result in a different life than she envisioned. She was still the same person. Coming home and reconnecting with Latham and her family helped to lead her back to a relationship with God and helped her realize how important family was. Latham and Wynn were great characters and I was so happy to see them find their happily-ever-after together. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I also purchased the ebook copy for myself, too. All opinions are my own.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Each one has touched my emotions. But you can read each one as a stand-alone book as well. This story was a beautiful picture of forgiveness and letting the past go. It was also a great Genesis 5020 story, God using things that could harm people for his glory. I definitely had a few tears toward the end of this book. I loved the romance between Latham and Wynn. One scene in particular swept me away in their raw feelings. If you are looking for a great romance pick this up! A copy of this book was given to me. All opinions are my own.

Can you go home again if you ran away at graduation? What if you're an unwed mother? How will you tell your family and friends? What will you do? Where will you live? Those are some of the questions facing Wynn when she comes home to her family and her ex Latham. Wynn learns who she can and can't count on and whose opinion matters. Faith issues dealt with in ways that fit the story. Great, well-developed characters that you want to care about. Enjoyable story! Looking forward to reading about other family members in the future.

4 1/2 STARS! Heart-wrenchingly real! She thinks her dreams have come to an end, but he teaches her that as long as they're together, the sky is the limit! A powerful story about picking up the pieces when life deals you hard times. The character's story caught my attention and kept me entrenched in what their future would work out to be from the start. Great dialogue, a sweet love story, and adorable characters! A decade ago, Wynn Sheehan left small-town Alabama for the big city lights without a backward glance. Now she's coming home after the plans she made for herself have fallen apart ... pregnant, alone and disillusioned. She didn't like the person she became while living her dream life ... but what does she have to work towards now that the life she left home for has crumbled? Latham Grant considers Wynn the one that got away. Crushing on each other for years, but not getting to the point to actually act on it until just before she left town ... and him. He's never forgotten her, but how can he trust that she's truly here to stay when she found it so easy to walk away all those years ago ... especially when she's pregnant with the baby of the man that had her attention for several of those wayward years?

This was such a tear-jerker book for me! I found it very touching and emotional. The book focuses on mistakes we sometimes make and how we go about dealing with the fallout. Who among us hasn't made mistakes? Some are large mistakes that can change the course of your life. This is what happens to Wynn. While growing up in a small town, she couldn't wait to get out of that town because she knew she was meant to "change the world". She didn't dislike the town but she had lofty goals and wanted something other than what the small town could provide. She went away to college, became a lawyer and then on to Washington DC to enter the political scene where she could be in the middle of that exciting lifestyle. It was all great....until is wasn't... She has come home to the small Alabama town with a secret and knows that everyone will judge her and point fingers but she wants to be with her family as she tries to figure out where to go from here. Latham also had lofty dreams but his changed too when his grandma died and he needed to stay in town to help his grandpa. His grandparents practically raised his when his parents couldn't be bothered. He's always been in love with Wynn and when she comes home, he wants to be there for her, no matter what she's going through. These two people who have had crushed dreams but are trying to find new directions, will touch your heart. And, the darling children & Pop will also tug at your heart strings as Wynn and Latham find their way back to each other. A wonderful story of love lost and found again! I recommend it!
