Linda S. Duty was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, when it was still a wonderfully simple place to live. She was always writing stories, producing plays with her neighborhood friends, selling cards and seeds and her own yarn octopus creations to anyone and everyone. Linda lived in the same house until after graduation, then went off to fashion school in Atlanta, but found it wasn't what she really wanted to do. Her dream was to be a mother and be a teacher to her children and others. She has 8 children and, so far, twenty four grandchildren.
Most of her early adult life was spent raising her children and being a homemaker, which she loved. She also worked and volunteered in the emergency services field, where she created her Buckets the Firesafety Clown personna for teaching children home and woods firesafety and prevention alongside her best friend, Smokey Bear, and his ranger pals.
Attending film school and Esther Luttrell's screenwriting workshops enhanced her love of movie production and editing, but took a back seat to rearing her family at the time. They are still on her bucket list and quickly becoming a priority in her current endeavors. She is also the author of Tyler's Treasure, and the creator of The Good Bug Society of Bug Island, which features Benjy Bee and the Bug Scouts and their crazy, fun-loving friends and families. Children, creativity and imagination have always been a part of her life, and now she is striving to share those creations to help children reach their potential through her writings and musings.
Some of the things she loves to do include genealogy research, gardening, spending time with family, enjoying the beach, looking for cool shells and shark's teeth at the seashore, creating things, and working on her bugs.
