I could see it on the front page of the Hohhot News tomorrow: American Man Shot and Killed at Bus Station. The only detail we have now is that the murder appears to be one of jealousy. The alleged murderer has escaped, and the young woman at the scene appeared to be delirious. More details tomorrow.

Jeff Thomas is traveling to what he is sure to be his certain death in Hohhot, China. Waiting for him there are the love of his life, Han, their baby, Jia, and Han's family...including Han's husband. A jealous husband, one who has lost face due to Han's adultery. He is a Chinese cuckold, a turtle. But this is one turtle who won't take his loss of pride on his back. Neither, it turns out, is Han's family, including her dead ancestors. As the first family dinner unfolds, and Jeff has his foot in his mouth more often than food, one accident stands out about the rest. But will this accident bring misfortune or fortune to Jeff as he navigates the perils of this Chinese family?
