This Too Shall Pass
This is a true story of a young girl stripped of her childhood innocence and forced into adulthood. Walk with me as I share the phases and stages of healing from neglect, physical and sexual abuse. The aftermath of trauma may be different for each individual but the damage to one's spirit and soul remain the same. How can we raise healthy children or maintain healthy relationships in any form when we are not healthy ourselves. Many of you will be able to relate and find the answer to this question and so many more within the stories I share from my journey. I experienced many revelations in writing my story. A change will come to you too by the time you turn the last page, as so it should.

About the Author

I'm an upcoming author, as this is my first book. A mother of six. Adopted my last child. Born and raised in Des Moines, IA. Lived in Denver, CO for several years with my kids. I've worked several jobs. Telemarketing, fast food, mailroom machinist, customer service for a medicare/medicaid line, complaints coordinator, surgery clinic patient coordinator, UPS loader, post office sorter, massage therapist and in-home childcare provider. Tried different shifts. Working around my kids schedules to make sure I was available for them and their needs. I was an in-home childcare provider when I brought my adopted daughter into my life at two days old. I came to share my story after asking God what it was He wanted me to do because I knew that what I was doing wasn't what He had for me. I've had a lot of youth come to me for guidance over the years as well as women my age. I would get a little burned out and say no more. I'd say I wasn't helping anyone else and yet here come more and I couldn't say no. I figured there must be a reason. I have felt like a magnet for the youth for so long, so after prayer I wrote my first book in hopes of reaching and helping more through my story. I prayed and prayed. I am a woman and mother overcoming trauma and trying to help encourage others on their healing journey.
