About the Author

Ever since grade school, I've loved scary stories and horror movies. When I first went to Disneyland at the age of five, all I wanted was to ride the Haunted Mansion over and over. I wasn't scared-I was fascinated. Jack Skellington quickly became my favorite character, and the skeleton pirates in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride mesmerized me.Because of my love for unconventional and eerie stories, my mother made sure to teach me the difference between reality and fiction. She showed me how monsters were created in movies with makeup and special effects, and how sets were designed to bring those dark worlds to life. From that moment on, I was hooked.I began looking at horror movies and books in a new light, and over the years, I've come to realize that many horror stories are, in fact, dramas in disguise, filled with emotion, conflict, and human truths, just wrapped in the guise of something frightening. Writing has become not only my outlet, but also my greatest joy. "Those That Cry in the Dark" will be the first of many stories I bring to life, and I know it marks just the beginning of my journey as a writer.
