About the Author

Nona is a Romanian-American entrepreneur, the author of the Torc the Cat book series, illustrator, fine artist and founder of Nona Design, a studio focused on publishing, photography, illustration and fine art. Her children's books have been translated into multiple languages and her fine art has been commissioned across the world.

Nona was born into a family of educators and grew up in a difficult environment surrounded by poverty. She learned from a very early age that the only way forward is through self improvement, helping those in need and giving back to the community. Since 2018, Nona and her husband, Adrian, have been running the #SMILESwithTORC Charitable Campaign, which has resulted in more than 2,600 books being donated to different organizations, programs and little free libraries around the US and Canada.

Nona holds masters degrees in chemical engineering and business, and has used her science background to create works that inspire her audience to be curious and learn. Her life's mission is to help others and bring positive change to the world.
