About the Author

Hello, my name is James Swift aka Ms. Fifi Frost, and yes I am an old southern Drag Queen. After being on a national reality show in 2014, I was asked to write my story. I did; Rusted Rhinestones was published in 2015. I was so proud to win the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Award. I am a survivor, from growing up in a cult to juvenile Christian conversion therapy and juvenile human trafficking. Being an activist and LGBTQ youth advocate I also have survived 3 brutal hate crimes. Because of this, I have CPTSD, Severe social anxiety disorder, and OCD. I am a Master Cosmetologist and licensed makeup artist. But with the CPTSD my hands now shake and I started a new career writing. My goal is to open a shelter for LGBTQ youth that has been thrown away by their families. I know how rough the streets are, I have been there, I also know what these kids do to survive. I did it as well.

I believe we all can be friends, regardless of our backgrounds. We all are from one race, the Human Race. I am not here to focus on what we differ in, I am here building friendships on what we have in common.
