About the Author

George Z Deemie, Jr. is a visionary humanitarian and the driving force behind KL Foundation Impact International Inc., a dedicated organization committed to empowering communities grappling with poverty, illiteracy, disease, and social injustice, with a particular focus on the welfare of women and children.
Inspired by a profound calling during the first round of the Liberian Civil Unrest in the late 90s, George witnessed the devastating impact of extreme poverty and death among refugees returning to Liberia. Motivated by compassion, he spearheaded relief efforts in remote areas of northern Liberia. George's passion for serving humanity led to the establishment of the KL Foundation Community Health Center in 2004 and Bethany Impact Academy in 2005.
The KL Foundation Community Health Center plays a crucial role in providing curative and preventive health services, including the management and treatment of STD/HIV, an extensive immunization program, and community awareness initiatives on hygiene promotion and effective water and sanitation programs. Simultaneously, Bethany Impact Academy addresses the educational needs of children in rural settlements in Liberia through the provision of educational shelters and programs.
