About the Author

Jeroen Leinders spent a large part of his youth on Curacao and regularly works there. During this period he came across the inspiring story of the slave, Tula. After a career in advertising, Jeroen switched to documentaries, commercials and film. His work as a director includes the film Tula: The Revolt.
