Overview

Though she grew up in a Christian home, Lola Bonoparte wandered away from her upbringing as a woman, captivated by the temptation of red and subdued through the royalty of purple. Hurt by the death of her parents and divorced from an abusive husband, Lola keeps her private life hidden as she attempts to live freely in the world.

After vivid "dream visits" from her parents, warnings from God and other divine persons, and new-found convictions from the Word, Lola gives her life back to Christ and decides to fight the internal corruption in the church, which mirrors her former private life. But the fight goes deeper than imagined as this Christian warrior struggles to bring the immorality of the church leaders to light.

Lola tries to fight for justice against a corrupt membership and the unholy pastors who continually work to draw her from the path of righteousness. In this heartwarming, yet sobering story the reader will follow Lola in her non-stop journey of faith, as she discovers that there are, indeed, two sides of glory.

About the Author

About The Author

Carol "Carleen" Goodson-Eaddy came into this world at the hands of her Great Aunt, Millie Goodson-Greene, a midwife who placed her into the loving arms of her parents. Her siblings include five brothers and four sisters, and she has two sons and three grandchildren. She married a wonderful man, William D. Eaddy. Carol treasures the love of her family who have supported her writing from the beginning.
Her faith in God has grown stronger since her diagnosis of Sarcoidosis, a malady that she refuses to let hinder her relationship with the Lord or turn her footsteps away from Christ. "Whatever challenges that may befall me or any obstacles that obstruct my way," says Carol, "I shall overcome them. I never recognize the words 'not' and 'can't.' If life is looking for a good fight, here I am."
Growing up in the South, Carol's activities were limited. After household chores were done she would sit on the porch. Filled with thoughts and nervous energy, she began to write on wide-ruled notebook paper. And her writing career began. Though encouraged by neighborhood friends, young Carol's confidence in her "boring stories" kept her from writing. But she never lost touch with those urges to write, and through the encouragement of family members, specifically Sheree Hinton, Patricia Hinton-Bryson, Heristeen Jackson-Goodson and Ms. Seabo, Carol's procrastination ended and her stories became print.
