    About the Author

A South Florida fixture for 50 years, Steve Kantner has walked and fished practically every foot of surf, pier, and canal bank that's accessible on foot. After showcasing his unique approach to guiding on television and as the host of a drive-time radio program, Kantner became a full-time writer, editor, and fly casting instructor whose work has appeared in Salt Water Sportsman, Florida Sportsman, Fly Rod & Reel, Fly Fishing in Salt Waters, the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Florida Fishing Weekly, and more. He lives in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Lefty Kreh has been an outdoor writer for more than 45 years and was named "Angler of the Year" by Fly Rod and Reel magazine in 1997. He currently can be seen fishing with Tom Brokaw, Yvon Chouinard (founder of Patagonia), and Michael Keaton on the Outdoor Channel's Buccaneers & Bones. He lives in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
