About the Author

Carla Crane Osborne grew up on her family's farm in southern Idaho, where she helped tend cattle and sheep, rode horses, and had grand adventures. Carla wrote Under the Barnyard Light so that children can experience some of the magic she knew growing up on a farm.

Brandon Dorman wakes each morning ready to battle mutant slugs, negotiate with ten-year-olds, and rescue parents from the two-hour bedtime story, all of which require walking the tightrope between absolute brilliance and complete craziness. As someone who chases his passions with unstoppable hope, he is grateful to see his work featured across the publishing cosmos. Even with hundreds of book covers, many picture books, and multiple awards under his belt, Brandon's greatest excitement is found in chasing stories. Not surprisingly, he finds them most frequently peeking out from in between the daily common adventures of his own family. He graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2005 and since has lived in Washington, Texas, and Virginia.
