About the Author

Dennis Mitterer is a fire and emergency services instructional professor and advisor in the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management at the University of Florida. He holds a Ph.D. in leadership and organizational change from Walden University focusing on the effects of a leader's behavior on employee job satisfaction, productivity, engagement, and turnover.

Heather Mitterer is an adjunct faculty instructor of human resources and law at Franklin University, an adjunct faculty instructor industrial/organizational psychology at Purdue Global, the assistant director of human resources for the City of Gainesville, and the CEO of Mitterer Enterprises. She holds a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from Walden University and a Juris Master in employment law and human resources risk management from the Florida State University College of Law.
