About the Author

Kinna Öhman-Leone, KPA CTP and her husband Gene (also KPA CTP) are full time positive professional trainers who have owned and ran Animal Connection Training since 2015. Over the past nine years, they have worked with close to 600 dogs and their people who have come to them for help with everything from raising puppies to complex behavior issues.

Although positive training is a huge component of their program, Kinna and Gene have discovered that adding the dog's perspective to the training program - in other words, helping clients understand their dogs from the inside out - has resulted in strong bonds and more success for both humans and dogs. These hands on experiences are the motivation for this book.

Kinna lives with her husband Gene, their two border collies, two horses, and a small flock of sheep in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York.
